Applies to: theglycode.com and all iOS apps published by Ahmet Vural — including Elsewhere: Parallel Lives, CoDraw, PhotoMorph AI, KoalaNote, Earling.io, DecoGPT, and How AI Sees Us (collectively, the "Apps").

1. Agreement to these Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing or using any of the Apps, or by visiting theglycode.com (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Apps or the Site.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Ahmet Vural, a sole developer based in Türkiye ("we", "us", "our").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Apps. Some Apps (including Elsewhere) are rated 12+ on the App Store. If you are between 13 and the age of digital consent in your country (16 in some EU states), you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Apps on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

  • copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the Apps;
  • rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute or sublicense the Apps;
  • remove or alter any proprietary notices;
  • use the Apps for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • use any automated system (bots, scrapers) to access the Apps or Site;
  • circumvent in-app purchase mechanisms or tamper with credit / subscription state.

4. Apple-specific terms (LAEULA)

The Apps are distributed via the Apple App Store. The Apple LAEULA governs your installation and use to the extent these Terms do not. You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us — not Apple — and that we (not Apple) are responsible for the Apps and their content.

Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Apps. In the event of a failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any) for the App; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you.

5. In-app purchases and subscriptions

5.1 Consumables and packs

Several Apps offer consumable in-app purchases (e.g. credit packs in Elsewhere). Consumables are used up as you use the App and are not restorable, per Apple's guidelines.

5.2 Subscriptions

Some Apps (including Elsewhere's Cosmic Pass) offer auto-renewing subscriptions.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
  • The subscription auto-renews at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time.

5.3 Refunds

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled exclusively by Apple under their refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

5.4 Free tier

Apps may offer a free tier (for example, Elsewhere provides 5 universe splits and 2 visuals at no cost). The free tier is a courtesy and may be modified or discontinued at any time, though existing free credits will not be retroactively reduced.

6. AI-generated content

Several Apps use artificial intelligence (Google Gemini, Replicate, Apple on-device foundation models) to generate text, images, or other content based on your input.

  • AI output is generated probabilistically and may be inaccurate, unexpected, offensive or unsuitable. It is provided as-is and you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it.
  • AI content is not professional advice. Do not use it as a substitute for legal, medical, financial, psychological or any other professional guidance.
  • You retain ownership of content you create. You grant us a limited licence to process your input through the AI provider solely to generate output for your session.
  • We apply content-moderation rails to reduce harmful output (violence, self-harm, sexual content involving minors, real-person impersonation). No filter is perfect.
  • If you encounter content that violates our content rules, contact avural79@hotmail.com with the details.

7. User-submitted content

You are solely responsible for any content you submit to the Apps (biographies, drawings, prompts, notes). You must not submit content that:

  • infringes the intellectual property or privacy of others;
  • is unlawful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, obscene or hateful;
  • contains malware, spam or solicits other users;
  • impersonates another person or misrepresents your affiliation.

Because most content is processed locally and not uploaded to our servers, we generally do not see it — but if reported, we may remove or restrict access to violating content.

8. Intellectual property

The Apps, the Site, and all related materials (code, design, logos, names — including "TheUglyCode", "Elsewhere", "Parallel Lives", "CoDraw", "PhotoMorph") are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. No rights are granted to you beyond the limited licence in Section 3.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Apps and Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APPS AND SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APPS WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE OR THAT ANY AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE OR PROFITS — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APPS OR SITE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APPS OR SITE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 25.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Apps or Site, or your infringement of any third-party right.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Apps if you materially breach these Terms. You may stop using the Apps at any time by deleting them from your device. Sections that by their nature survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) continue to apply.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when features change, processors change, or the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced via an in-app notice the first time you open the App after the update. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Courts of Istanbul have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a consumer under applicable law. If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.

16. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Apple's LAEULA, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Apps and Site.
